Welcome to the Official Site for the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Myles Scully, Division One of Yonkers, New York! We are the oldest and largest Irish-American Organization in the U.S., and we are dedicated to live by our organization's motto, "FRIENDSHIP, UNITY and CHRISTIAN CHARITY." The Yonkers Division was established on November 1, 1891.

ANNUAL COMMUNION BREAKFAST 2010




Yonkers Hibernians Hold Annual Communion Breakfast at St. Joseph’s Seminary

The Myles Scully Division One of Yonkers recently held their Annual Communion Breakfast at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers, New York.

Mass was celebrated by Bishop Gerald Walsh, followed but a full hot breakfast. It was also a day for celebrating achievements. Hibernian of the Year, John Hyland, was recognized for all the help and guidance he had given to AOH Myles Scully Division #1 for last several years. Speaker for this event was John T. Dunleavy, NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade Chairman. He gave a discussion of history of the parade, including some very funny anecdotes.

The event concluded with presentation by Kevin Ellis, current divisional president, recognizing past President James Walsh, for his many years of service. Guests included Mayor of Yonkers, Phil Amicone, and his wife, Deputy Mayor Bill Regan, and various officers and their families from Westchester, Bronx and New York county AOH

YONKERS RESPECT LIKE WEEK 2010



Myles Scully Division Joins Yonkers Mayor Phil Amicone at City’s “Respect Life” Event
 



 Yonkers is the only Municipality in New York State to Commemorate Respect Life Week


             The Myles Scully Division #1 was honored to welcome N.Y.S President Charles "Chip" McLean (center) to the third annual "Respect Life Week" held in the City of Yonkers on January 24th 2010.

             The event was sponsored by Yonkers Mayor Philip A. Amicone, an Associate member of Division #1, and a politician who has been an outspoken advocate defending the rights of the unborn.

              Yonkers is the only municipality in the State of New York to commemorate Respect Life Week.  The N.Y.S Board honored Mayor Amicone last summer for his efforts with it's first annual Right to Life Award which was presented at their State Convention Awards Dinner.
