The National Board of The Ancient Order of Hibernians presented The Myles Scully Division #1 of Yonkers with an award recognizing its outstanding Charities and Missions work at The AOH National Convention held recently in St. Louis, Missouri.

The National Charities and Missions Award is presented to those Division’s whose work best exemplifies the motto of The AOH “Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity”.  The Myles Scully Division reported over $25,000 in charitable donations for year ending 2013, as well as recorded over 1,600 man hours of volunteer work from all of its members.

There were many winners of The National Charity Award

“It was wonderful to have The National Board recognize all of the hard work that our members have done over the last year” said Division President Kevin Ellis, “Much of the credit belongs to our Charities Chairman Jack McDonald, but it was a total team effort and the results speak for themselves”.
