Division #1 Supports Toy Drive for SAIL Institute

AOH Supports Toy Drive for Yonkers
S.A.I.L. Institute of Learning

Kevin Ellis, Doren Corns (SAIL Institute), Jimmy Casey & Stephen McDonagh

Members of the Myles Scully Division #1 of Yonkers were on hand at Danny Mac’s Sports Bar on McLean Ave. this past weekend to help support the 18th Annual Terry Dalton Jr. Toys for Kids Drive.  The event collects toys and donations for the children of the S.A.I.L Institute of Learning in Yonkers.

The toy drive has been organized and run by Division #1 member Jimmy Casey for over a decade, and we were glad to see him fully recovered from his injuries suffered earlier this year.  “It’s all about the kids”, said Casey “I will never not be here”.

Capacity Crowd at Danny Mac's for the Toys for Kids Drive Event

Hundreds of people from the local area showed up with their donations, which were placed in large bins provided by Liffy Van Lines.  The drive normally receives so many toys each year that they are able to distribute them to other organizations that need them.

More than a dozen containers from Liffey Van Lines were filled with donations

Division #1 presented the S.A.IL. Institute with monetary donation and many individual members dropped off toys throughout the day.

Sail (The School for Adaptive & Integrative Learning) at Ferncliff Manor provides a full range of high quality educational, therapeutic and health care services to children with developmental disabilities offering close personal attention, structure and stimulation in a safe, secure environment that fosters growth and development.
