Leadership Transition at Division One

Left: Incoming President Dennis O'Brien with Past President Kevin Ellis

This year marks the departure of our honorable President Kevin Ellis. For 10 years Kevin served as President of the AOH Myles Scully Division One where he personified the AOH motto of “Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity” and made our division among the best in the country.

Kevin is also Vice President of The AOH Westchester County Board, and serves on the AOH New York State Board as co-director of internet communications. In 2009, he founded the (NYC) Firefighter Sean Tallon Tournament dedicated to the memory of the Yonkers native who lost his life on September 11, 2001.

The officers and members of our division are indebted to our brother Kevin and thank him for his dedication, leadership, friendship and lasting contributions to our division.

Taking over for Kevin is our new President Dennis O’Brien. Dennis is a longtime member of Division One and the 2016 recipient of the Hibernian of the Year Award as well as a member of The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick in Westchester.

Dennis is active in his community as the proprietor of the Celtic Corner Pub in Dobbs Ferry, Vice President of the Dobbs Ferry Chamber of Commerce and is on the Board of Directors of the Dobbs Ferry youth Football Program.  He is also a member of the Southside Club in Hastings as well as a parishioner of St. Matthews Church in Hastings.
