Welcome to the Official Site for the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Myles Scully, Division One of Yonkers, New York! We are the oldest and largest Irish-American Organization in the U.S., and we are dedicated to live by our organization's motto, "FRIENDSHIP, UNITY and CHRISTIAN CHARITY." The Yonkers Division was established on November 1, 1891.

ANNUAL COMMUNION BREAKFAST 2011



Myles Scully Division Holds Annual Communion Breakfast at St. Joseph’s Seminary

                The Myles Scully Division 1 Yonkers held their annual Communion Breakfast at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers on February 27thN.Y.S. President Charles "Chip" McLean, State Organizer Ed Rice, and Westchester County President Brian Kelly were among the over 150 friends and supporters who filled the seminary chapel and were treated to a full breakfast in the seminary's cafeteria.

                The mass was celebrated by Bishop Gerald Walsh, the President of St. Joseph's Seminary, who once again honored the Hibernians with grateful remarks about the Order's support of the church and vocations during his homily.  Bishop Walsh also brought out the famed McSweeney Chalice from its vault and used it in the celebration.

                 After mass, the attendees listened to the guest speaker for the afternoon, Father Dave Dwyer, CSP who is the host of "The Busted Halo Radio Show" which can be heard every weeknight on the Catholic Channel on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio.  Father Dave spoke about the Paulist Fathers mission to reach out to younger generations of Catholics using mass media and networking technology.

               Division 1 President Kevin Ellis recognized Tom Allison as the Hibernian of the Year  for his decades of community service to the City of Yonkers.  He also presented a $500 donation to the Seminary in support of vocations.
