Dennis O'Brien Honored by Division/Parades

Dennis O’Brien of Dobbs Ferry to Receive Honors at Communion Breakfast & Local Parades

2016 Hibernian of the Year Dennis O'Brien

The Officers and Members of The Yonkers Ancient Order of Hibernians are proud to announce that Dennis O’Brien has been chosen as the 2016 Recipient Hibernian of the Year Award.

We are also proud to announce that Dennis will also be honored by The St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committees of both Tarrytown and Yonkers!  Dennis has been named as an Aide to the Grand Marshal in both parades this year.  He will serve as an Aide to Grand Marshal John Dunleavy in Tarrytown on Sunday, March 13th, as well as Aide to Grand Marshal Patrick Quinn in Yonkers on March 19th.

Dennis is a proud member of the AOH Myles Scully Division #1 in Yonkers as well as The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick in Westchester.  He sits on the Professional Advisory Board for the Training Institute for Mental Health.  He's currently the Vice President of the Dobbs Ferry Chamber of Commerce and is on the Board of Directors of the Dobbs Ferry youth Football Program.  He is also a member of the Southside Club in Hastings as well as a parishioner of St. Matthews Church in Hastings.

"Dennis has been as hard working member of the AOH for many years, and his dedication to the both the AOH and to the local community have made the decision to honor him a very easy one to make”, said Yonkers AOH President Kevin Ellis, “All of us in the AOH are thrilled that Dennis is getting recognition for all of his hard work!”

Dennis will officially be awarded the Hibernian of the Year Award at the Yonkers AOH Communion Breakfast at St. Joseph’s Seminary on February 28th.
