St. Patrick's Day Parade Marching Season 2014

Yonkers Hibernians on Parade
A.O.H. of Yonkers Completes another Successful
 St. Patrick’s Day Marching Season

AOH of Yonkers Marching in The NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade

The 2014 St. Patrick’s Day Parade marching season is now complete, and The Myles Scully Division One of Yonkers can take pride in its performance this year.  The members of Division one marched in 4 parades this month.  Here is a small recap of all the parades.

AOH of Yonkers Marching in The White Plains Parade

The AOH of Yonkers marched in the 17th Annual White Plains Parade for the first time this year, and we were very impressed with this parade.  Thanks go out to Parade Chairman John Martin for the great welcome we received on Mamaroneck Avenue.  We will be joining you each year from now on!

AOH of Yonkers Marching in The Eastchester Parade

The 10th Annual Eastchester St. Patrick’s Day Parade was special this year because the parade committee chose to honor our Division Chaplain Rev Eric Raaser.  Congratulations to Brendan Lynch and the entire parade committee on your 10th Anniversary!

AOH of Yonkers on WNBC-TV Channel 4 NYC Parade Coverage

The 253rd Annual NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade was truly an amazing event; as it is every year.  Our members were especially thrilled to be included in the parade television coverage.  We wish to thank Parade Chairman John Dunleavy and the rest of the committee who stood firm protecting the message of St. Patrick’s Day.

AOH Division 1 Marching in The Yonkers St. Patrick's Day Parade

The month concluded with The 59th Annual Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day on McLean Avenue, and we can only say WOW!  The crowds were record breaking, and the weather was the best it had been all month long. Congratulations to the combined efforts of the Yonkers Parade Committee, who achieved what was once thought to be impossible. Special congratulations to our member Kevin Hartnett, who was chosen as an Aide to the Grand Marshal this year.  We would like to thank all of the visiting AOH marching groups from The Bronx, Rockland County, NY, Bergen County, NJ, and even Newport, Rhode Island who marched up the Emerald Mile this year.  Because of you, this parade had a very visible AOH presence, and we thank all of you for your support!

Division President Kevin Ellis proudly leads members up McLean Ave.

Hibernians marched, Hibernians stood proud and tall, but most importantly, Hibernians led by example.  We have already reset our St. Patrick’s Day countdown clock for 2015, and we hope to see all of you in next year’s celebrations!
