Award for Yonkers AOH Charities Program

Yonkers Division Honored by A.O.H. N.Y. State Board for Charities Program

The New York State Board Charity and Missions Award

The New York State Board of The Ancient Order of Hibernians honored The Yonkers Division for its outstanding charities and missions work at its Biennial Convention held in Saratoga Springs, NY.  The Charities and Missions Award is presented to Divisions who have donated at least $5,000 to deserving Irish and Catholic Charities in New York.  Division One Yonkers reported over $16,000 in cash donations, and logged in over 950 hours of community service by its members.

Division President Kevin Ellis with AOH State President Mike McNabb

The award was presented by New York State President Mike McNabb to Division One President Kevin Ellis.  “This is another great achievement for the members of Division One” said Ellis, “This award is a direct result of the hard work done by our membership, and the dedication of our Charities Chairman Jack McDonald.”

Funding for the Division Charities Program is raised through its Annual Golf Outing held every Spring.
